Cindy is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has been practicing since 1993. She received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas in 1991, and her North Carolina license in 1996. In addition, Cindy is licensed to provide supervision to those graduates who are pursuing counseling licensure in North Carolina. She and her husband of 26 years have three grown children. Cindy works with adults facing a wide variety of problems and stressors. Counseling is an effective way to gain insight into problem areas or patterns of thinking and responding that keep us feeling “stuck.” Cindy generally uses a Cognitive Behavioral approach, which has proven highly effective. Sometimes the focus is interpersonal and involves relationships or interactions with others. You can expect to learn new coping skills and interpersonal strategies that can help you get “unstuck” from old, unhealthy patterns.
