Suzanne Ballard Thompson is a licensed North Carolina mental health professional, practicing in this field since 1992.  Her graduate education has been in Psychology where she earned her M.A. in General Psychology from Harvard University and her M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. 

Professionally, Suzanne has worked in the public school system, a chronic pain facility, community mental health center, Medical Center, and private practice.  She is also a parent.

Suzanne's theoretical approach to therapy is generally cognitive-behavioral.  This is a well-known, widely used therapeutic approach that focuses on client strengths while targeting certain thoughts and behaviors that could be usefully modified.
